Doors into Insert mode: i, a, I, A, o, O

Six ways in, each one putting the cursor right where you want to type.

4 drills

  1. Fill the gap with a: A letter is missing right after the cursor. Add it with a, then <Esc>.
  2. Finish the line with A: Add the missing character(s) at the end of the line with A.
  3. Prefix the line with I: Add the marker at the start of the line's text, after the indent, using I.
  4. Open a line with o or O: Add the missing line from the target. Use o to open a line below the cursor, or O for one above. The indent comes for free.
