Find & Jump

Land exactly where you mean: find characters on a line, jump between brackets, leave marks and travel the jump list.

  1. 01

    Find a character: f, t, F, T, ; and ,

    Jump onto (or right next to) any character on the line.

  2. 02

    Matching pairs: %, [( and [{

    Bounce between matching brackets, or jump out to the enclosing one.

  3. 03

    Marks: m, ` and '

    Drop a named bookmark and come back to it, or bounce back to where you jumped from.

    The jump list: CTRL-O and CTRL-I

    Walk back (and forward) through the places you jumped from.
